September Lesson Theme: Who is the Counselor? What are our Basic Emotions?
Kindergarten and First Grade will learn about the role of the school counselor and basic emotions from the book, The Color Monster. They will then illustrate what different emotions look like in picture form to bring home to their families.
Second and Third Grade will learn about the role of the school counselor and different emotions from the book, In My Heart, A book of feelings. They will then review different scenarios and label what feeling they might have if they were to experience that situation.
Fourth and Fifth grade will review the role of the school counselor. They will also discuss what goals they have for their hearts and minds in the new school year.
