THEATRE I, II-IV, JV & Adv. PRODUCTIONS

Students enrolled in Theatre will actively engage in the training of the body, voice and mind into an acting and dramatic arts-thinking instrument. The training consists of acting exercises, scene analysis, improvisation, movement, scene writing and performances.

TECHNICAL THEATRE I, JV TECH, VARSITY TECH, PRODUCTION TECH

Students enrolled in Technical Theatre will actively engage in the process of designing, building, managing, and implementing the technical aspects of a production. Activities will range from sets, props, sound, costume, marketing, lighting, and stage management. This class will also develop creativity, intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, problem solving, and collaborative skills through a variety of hands-on learning opportunities.

JV and ADVANCED MUSICAL THEATRE

In Musical Theatre Students will study the work of the actor/singer/dancer and use their gained knowledge to develop as performers. Students will prepare and present as soloists as well as members of small groups and larger ensembles. Since this is a workshop course, students will prepare material for class presentation and critique. There will also be a focus on the audition process as well as musical theatre history and repertoire. Students will have multiple performance opportunities throughout the year.
