Wind Ensemble, Beginning Flute, Beginning Double Reeds, and Beginning Low Brass
Jessica Lee Gonzales is currently in her 22nd year of teaching in Leander ISD. She had the privilege of opening Four Points Middle School in 2010 after teaching for six years at Cedar Park Middle School, which culminated in Cedar Park Middle School’s performance at the Midwest Clinic in Chicago, Il in 2007. She returned again to perform at the Midwest Clinic with the Four Points Middle School Wind Ensemble eight years later in 2015. Under her direction, bands at Four Points have consistently received superior ratings at UIL Concert & Sight Reading Contest as well as at various state festivals, and has placed as a State Finalist in the Texas Honor Band process in 2019 and 2022.
Mrs. Gonzales graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with honors, where she was a member of the Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, Longhorn Band, and a member of the flute studio of Karl F. Kraber. She enjoys serving as an adjudicator and clinician throughout the state of Texas and a teacher at Longhorn Music Camps as well as SASi Drum Major Leadership camps each summer. Her professional affiliations are with Texas Music Educator’s Association, Texas Bandmasters Association and Phi Beta Mu.
She has the daily privilege of teaching the Wind Ensemble, beginning flute, beginning oboe & bassoon, and beginning euphonium & tuba classes at Four Points MS.
When away from the band hall, Mrs. Gonzales loves spending time with her husband, Damian, sons Jason and Trey, and a plethora of fur babies. Her greatest privilege and honor in teaching is to inspire students to make and appreciate music for the rest of their lives.
Associate Director of Bands
CLASSES:
Symphonic Band, Beginning Clarinet, and Beginning Saxophone
Cori Swan is currently in her 10th year of teaching and 8th year in Leander ISD. Mrs. Swan is a cum laude graduate and a Fisher Tull Scholar from Sam Houston State University, where she received her Bachelor of Music. She participated in the Bearkat Marching Band as a drum major and served as the principal clarinetist in both the Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra. Mrs. Swan also served as Drum Major for The Guardians Drum and Bugle Corps in 2014 in their first year as a DCI open class competitor.
Mrs. Swan currently serves as Associate Band Director at Four Points Middle School, where she directs Symphonic Band and teaches beginning saxophone and beginning clarinet. Under her direction, the Symphonic Band was named a Citation Winner in 2019, 2020, and 2023 for the Citation of Excellence by The Foundation for Music Education. Prior to her appointment at Four Points, Mrs. Swan was the assistant band director at Labay Middle School in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD. Mrs. Swan was also a participant for Sugar Land Winds as a founding member and for their performance for Texas Bandmasters Association in 2018 on Bb and Eb clarinet.
In addition to Four Points Middle School, Mrs. Swan spends her summers working with SASi – The Leadership People, where she works with high school and middle school band programs around the state of Texas to help develop current and future student leaders within their organization. Since 2015, she has enjoyed getting to be a part of the "SASi Experience". Mrs. Swan has been a clinician at the Texas Bandmasters Association and The Center for Music Education at Sam Houston State University. Mrs. Swan’s professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association and Texas Bandmasters Association.
Mrs. Swan currently lives in Georgetown with her husband, Adam, daughter Renee, and her two crazy dogs, Amara and Peach. She is so excited to work with great students and teachers every day!
Associate Director of Bands
CLASSES:
Concert Band, Beginning Trombone, Beginning Trumpet, and Begnning French Horn
Adrian Teti is an educator and performer in the Austin area. Prior to his arrival at FPMS, Adrian earned his Master’s degree in instrumental music education from Texas State University, where he served as a teacher for undergraduate brass techniques classes, as well as the teacher’s assistant for Dr. Mary Ellen Cavitt and Dr. Amy Simmons. While at Texas State, Adrian also sat as Principal and Co-Principal trombone in the Texas State trombone choir under the direction of Dr. Martin McCain, and was a finalist for the 2015 Texas State Concerto Competition. Prior to his arrival in Texas in 2008, Adrian received a bachelor’s degree in trombone performance from the University of Maryland, where he was a 3-year member of the Wind Ensemble/Philharmonic Orchestra rotation, and a student of John Huling and Craig Mulcahy.
Adrian currently teaches beginning trumpet, trombone, and french horn, as well as the Concert Band at FPMS. He also is a faculty member at the annual Austin Summer Brass Academy summer camp, and is beginning his 4th year as a performer with the nationally recognized Cedar Park Winds.
Prior to band directing, Adrian served as a full-time low-brass private lesson teacher in Round Rock, where he routinely taught 50-60 students per week. Many of these students achieved high levels of success, including All-State, All-Area, and All-Region placements in TMEA Region 26 competitions, and consistent superior ratings at Solo and Ensemble festivals. Several are now majoring in music at institutions of higher learning.
Adrian currently lives in Leander with his wife, Victoria, and children, Patrick, Olive, and Ethan, and their colony of cats. He continues to be motivated and inspired by the wonderful students and staff he has the privilege of working with each day.
Percussion Director at Vandegrift HS
CLASSES:
Beginning Percussion, 7th and 8th grade percussion
Trevor is currently the Percussion Director at Vandegrift High School and Four Points Middle School in Austin, Texas. He previously was the Assistant Percussion Director at Vandegrift from 2022-2025 and his duties include coordinating the front ensemble in the marching band, teaching private lessons, and coaching concert percussion ensembles. Under his direction, the Vandegrift High School Percussion Ensemble was selected to perform at the 2024 Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic, and he served as a clinician at the 2024 TBA Convention. During his time on staff, the Vandegrift Band won the Texas 6A State Championship in 2022 and 2023, and the 2023 BOA San Antonio Super Regional Competition.
Trevor is currently on the percussion staff of the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps. He has previously been on staff with Rhythmic Force Indoor Percussion (2024), the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps (2023–2024), the Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps (2022), and the Music City Drum and Bugle Corps (2020–2022). While with the Vanguard Cadets, the corps won the DCI Open Class Championship and the award for Best Percussion Performance. As a DCI performer, he was a member of the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps in 2017 and the Santa Clara Vanguard in 2018 and 2019. During his time with Santa Clara Vanguard, he received a DCI World Championship title and two Fred Sanford Awards for Best Percussion.
Trevor earned a Master’s degree in Percussion Performance from the University of North Texas (2019–2021), where he studied with Mark Ford, Christopher Deane, and Paul Rennick. While attending UNT, he performed with the Wind Symphony, Percussion Ensemble, Gamelan Ensemble, and Brazilian Ensemble. During his graduate studies, he had the opportunity to perform with the UNT Percussion Ensemble at the TMEA Convention in 2020. Trevor received his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Texas Christian University (2015–2019), where he performed with the TCU Percussion Orchestra, Steel Band, Wind Symphony, Symphony Orchestra, and Marching Band. While at TCU, he had the privilege of performing in a showcase concert with the TCU Percussion Orchestra at PASIC in 2015.
Trevor’s professional affiliations include the Percussive Arts Society, Texas Music Educators Association, and Kappa Kappa Psi. He currently resides in Cedar Park, Texas, and is proudly endorsed by Sabian and Innovative Percussion Inc.
