6th Grade MS Art 1
BE PROMPT - arrive on time with a positive attitude, and have all materials ready to go when class begins.
BE RESPONSIBLE - clean up after themselves, help others when they are in a bind – they will help you back; take ownership in the choices they make, use time wisely, and place all materials, and projects in their proper place. This rule is VERY important to learn as an artist because not only will it be a reflection of how you work as a team member, but will also help you and your classmates save time.
BE RESPECTFUL - of others, their artwork, materials, and the classroom environment. Students should respect themselves, classmates, teachers, our classroom, our supplies, and our school.
BE POLITE – be open to new ideas, raise your hand, refrain from inappropriate language, topics, and behavior in the classroom; do not disrupt other students’ opportunity to learn, or interrupt Mr. Ballantyne while he is speaking. I will treat you as an individual… deserving respect, fair treatment and honesty. I expect you to treat others in class and myself with the same treatment.
BE PREPARED - come everyday with a pencil, eraser, and have assignments fully completed by the assigned due date.
BE ON TASK - manage their class time wisely, and remain in the assigned seat until released.
