How to Pay & Deployment dates

Question: When do I have to pay by to receive a laptop during beginning of the year deployment?

Answer: You MUST pay the $40 mLISD non-refundable security deposit by August 14th in order to receive the device in the first deployment of the school year. We will always issue laptops but in order to make it in that first round, it has to be by the date listed above. If you pay past the deadline, there will be a 24-48 hr delay in deployment.

Question:  Are there scholarships?

Answer: Yes! If you qualify for free and reduced lunch that is already reflected on the payment screen.  However, if you are in need of additional or unforeseen financial assistance, please contact mlisd@leanderisd.org for scholarship information and include the following information in your email: Campus, Student Name, ID Number, and Parent Phone Number. 

Question:  When will my student receive their laptop now that I have paid?

INCOMING 6th grade-grade level deployment through Science class on Monday, August 18th.  Students will take the computer home and their homework will be to bring it Tuesday charged and ready for their orientation modules, which will give them all the information on how to treat it, login, troubleshooting, resources, rules, etc. 

7th grade - grade level deployment through Science class on FRIDAY Aug. 15th (2025)

8th grade - grade level deployment through Science class on FRIDAY Aug 15th (2025)

***For those who pay after the payment deadline and need a computer, I will run newly paid reports daily and call students down to my office beginning  immediately after scheduled deployement  until all students who have paid are issued a computer.   Please understand that with 1400 students there may be a delay as there is a 24 hr time period between your payment and my system updating. I do my best to issue computers as quickly as possible.
