Through our exclusive resources, programs, and services, membership allows students to grow further in their journey towards a successful, impactful, and honorable future in college and beyond. Membership into the Cedar Park Middle School chapter of the National Junior Honor Society lays the groundwork for lifelong success.
Requirements for Membership
"How do I get into NJHS?"
7th Graders who have attended CPMS for at least one full semester and meet the requirements (below) of Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character are eligible to apply to NJHS.
Invitations to apply will be sent in February to students who meet those qualifications. Applications are typically due with in 14 days of receiving. Admission will be determined via selection committee shortly thereafter.
Scholarship
Students must have a 90 or higher semester average in each of their core classes.
Service
This involves voluntary contributions made by a student to the school or community, done without compensation.
Leadership
Student leaders are those who are resourceful, good problem solvers, and idea contributors. Leadership experiences can be drawn from school or community activities while working with or for others.
Character
The student of good character is cooperative; demonstrates high standards of honesty and reliability; shows courtesy, concern, and respect for others; and maintains no disciplinary infractions (ISS).

National Honor Society Meeting Dates
Unless otherwise stated, all meetings will be in the Room 2109 and Thursday morning begins at 8:40 and afternoon meetings begin at 4:30.

December - 12/14
January - 1/25
February - 2/22
March - 3/28
April - 4/10 (PM meeting ONLY)
May - 5/16
Please arrive on time. Late arrivals count as absences.
Meetings are held monthly (1 in the morning, 1 in the afternoon)
They last generally 10-20 minutes
You must be in attendance at start of meeting or will count as an unexcused absence
Excused vs. Unexcused
1 unexcused/undocumented absences results in probation
2 unexcused/undocumented absences per bylaws may result in dismissal from NJHS
