LISD District Wide Puberty Lesson - 2025-2026
Fourth and Fifth Grade Parents/Guardians:
Leander ISD 4th and 5th grade students are about to study an important lesson on the early stages of puberty which some students may be beginning to experience. At Reed Elementary, 4th and 5th grade students will watch the videos listed below on May 15, 2026. While watching the videos, students will be separated by grade level and gender. Counselors Alicia Gonzalez-Akens and Clarissa Cavazos will teach the girls. Coach Orlando Flores and Educator Ernesto Herrera will teach the boys group. Health and nutrition
Hygiene and grooming
Self esteem
Physical changes
Emotional changes
If you would like your 4th/5th grade student to participate in the puberty lesson, please fill out the Puberty Lesson Opt-In Form by May 11, 2026.
