What are Career Investigation Days?
It's easiest to think of a Career Investigation day as job shadowing, but it's also mentoring and a chance for students to observe the work environment. Career Investigation Days offer students a unique chance to experience "a day in the life of" a professional, ask questions, and see firsthand how classroom learning applies to the workplace.
February Career Investigation Days
As part of our ongoing commitment to preparing students for their future careers, Leander ISD is excited to promote job shadow opportunities for high school juniors and seniors during the month of February, which is celebrated nationwide as Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month. We invite you to partner with us in this initiative to help students explore potential career paths and gain insight into the world of work -- we're calling these CIDays!
If your business/organization is willing to host student Career Investigation opportunities in the month of February, complete the form linked below. These collective opportunities will be shared with our juniors and seniors, allowing them to sign up for no more than two experiences. We will communicate to each business the names of students to expect on the specified date(s).
