Softball

The goal of the Cedar Park Lady Timberwolves softball program is to develop young ladies who learn the value of hardwork, discipline, integrity and selflessness through the rewarding experience of teamwork and competition. While we strive to maintain success on the field, we hope to also gain success off the field through athletes who can translate these characteristics from the game, to the classroom, to college campuses and to their relationships.

The softball program is intended first of all to be a rewarding experience for the young ladies who participate. I believe this will be accomplished through an environment of hard work, dedication, discipline and selflessness. Our hope is to create a highly competitive team on the field with an entire roster of young ladies who exhibit the qualities spoken of before. Being a “team” sport, selflessness by each player must be exemplified by each student athlete at all times – at home, at school, in practices and in games.

As coaches, we feel that our most important role is to exhibit those qualities we expect of our student athletes. We will strive to exude the same qualities that are asked of our student athletes through our demeanor in our classrooms, in our practices and in our competitions. We know that we set the tone for our athletes’ work ethic and behavior; as such, we will constantly strive to work hard, to maintain self-discipline and to live lives of integrity. We perceive the softball field as another “classroom” in our chosen profession where perhaps life’s greatest lessons can and should be learned: teamwork, perseverance, self-discipline, integrity and the understanding that some things are bigger than one individual.
