Mrs. Sara Butler

About me:

Hey y'all! My name is Sara Butler, and I am excited to be your English teacher. After starting my college studies at the University of Utah, where I met my wonderful husband Allan, I finished my degree at the University of Houston. I graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and History. I began teaching in 2018 in Clear Creek ISD. I taught 8th grade ELA for three years before moving to Austin summer of 2021. This will be my 6th year at Vista Ridge High School (Go Rangers!), and 9th year in education. I love to read and write, go for walks with my family, try new dinner recipes, wake surf, travel, shop, and watch sports. I especially love cheering for the University of Utah football team and the Houston Astros! I am a mom to two amazing kids, Paxton, born in November 2022, and Zoey, born in May 2026. I cannot wait to get to know each one of my students and find out what it is you all love. Here's to a great year!
