Individual Support
A student may need individualized support if they are displaying a social, emotional, or academic need. Students can turn in a counselor pass if they wish to meet with Ms. Silva (Pre-K - 2nd grade) or Mrs. LaManna (3rd - 5th grade).
Classroom Lessons
Counseling lessons are taught at least once a month in the classroom. The lessons cover topics such as personal safety, college & career, self-esteem, and coping skills.
Small Group Lessons
Small group support is provided to students based on parent and teacher feedback through collaboration with the counselor. Students often benefit from small group lessons regarding coping skills, anxiety, friendships, empathy, social skills, and more.
Parent & Teacher Collaboration
Counselors partner with parents and teachers to help establish a positive, welcoming learning environment for all students.
