Counseling Services
Classroom Lessons
Counseling lessons are taught at least once a month in the classroom. The lessons cover topics such as personal safety, college & career, self-esteem, and coping skills.
Small Group Lessons
Small group support is provided to students based on parent and teacher feedback and through collaboration with the counselor. Students may benefit from small group lessons over coping skills, empathy, and classroom skills.
Individual Support
A student may need individualized support if they are displaying a social, emotional, or academic need. The goal of this support to students is to help students become successful in the classroom and in peer relationships. School counselors are not certified to provide on-going therapy.
Parent & Teacher Collaboration
Counselors may partner with parents and teachers to help establish a positive, welcoming learning environment for all students.
