LISD Year at a Glance

We will be utilizing two different calculators this year! Desmos is web-based and great for use at home. We all have class sets of TI-84s.

Desmos Calculator

• Desmos Scientific Calculator

• Desmos Graphing Calculators

TI-84 Calculator

Typically by 8th grade, students use a TI-84 daily in their math classes. If you are interested in buying your own, it will be a great investment for 8th grade math and beyond (high school, college). Two Amazon links to the specific models that will work are below. You can also purchase them at Walmart, Target, Office Depot, etc.

• TI-84 Black & White Version

• TI-84 Colored Version

Both of these versions have the exact same functionality. Obviously the colored screen is just easier to see, but either would be a great investment.
