Congratulations to Lake Dallas High School Thespian Troupe 4101 for earning the prestigious Texas Thespians Gold Honor Troupe designation!
Over the past nine months, our theatre students completed leadership training and monthly projects to promote theatre in the community—scoring top marks every single time. Their hard work and creativity put them among the 21% of troupes in Texas to receive this honor.

The District of Distinction is an annual recognition program created by the Texas Art Education Association to honor school districts that are leading the way in visual arts.
For the 8th consecutive year,every year since the awards conception, Lake Dallas ISD has been named a Dsitrict of Distinction!
Only 16 districts have rceived the award for 8 years, placing LDISD among the top 1.7% of visualrts programs in the State of Texas!

LDISD Chief of Police Chadd Springer formally introduced the two newest members of the LDISD Police Department, Officers William Townsend and Officer Gregg Anderson.
Chief of Staff Mollie Avelino also formally introduced the newest Assistant Principal of Lake Dallas High School Johna Straw.

LDISD Administration also presented updates on the following:
Chief Operations Officer John Modica provided an update on construction projects in the district, showcasing the finalized products of new floors and renovated libraries at Shady Shores Elementary and Corinth Elementary, and the finalized renovations of the Lake Dallas High School auditorium.
The board also reviewed and acted on several other items, approving the following with unanimous passing votes of 6-0.
