Lake Dallas Elementary Principal Kerri Blevins was named the Texas PTA Principal of the Year! This honor is given to principals who lead with vision, build strong family partnerships, and create campuses where students and teachers truly thrive. Mrs. Blevins does all of that and more. Her leadership, heart, and commitment to our community make this recognition incredibly well deserved.
Shady Shores Elementary Principal Jennifer Bryant was awarded Administrator of the Year by the Texas Association of School Resource Officers (TASRO)!
This award is presented to a School Administrator who has made a difference in the lives of their learners, teachers, and staff by exemplifying best practices and serving as an ambassador for positive collaborations with law enforcement for school safety. The recipient fully embraces, supports, and promotes the core values and vision of the school district while promoting school safety!
TASRO is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing school safety that supports school based law enforcement, school administrators, school safety personnel, mental health professionals and juvenile justice partners through education and advocacy.

Lake Dallas ISD is proud to announce the hiring of Gretchen McGregor as the new Assistant Principal of Corinth Elementary School.
Mrs. McGregor brings more than two decades of experience in education, instructional leadership, and student support to the Falcon family. Throughout her career, she has served in a variety of roles including assistant principal, MTSS coordinator, instructional coordinator, summer school administrator, and elementary classroom teacher. Her passion for student achievement, collaborative school culture, and instructional excellence make her an outstanding addition to the Corinth Elementary leadership team.
Most recently, Mrs. McGregor served as Assistant Principal at Antelope Trails Elementary School in Colorado, where she helped lead a high-achieving campus recognized with multiple state awards for academic growth and achievement. In her leadership role, she guided Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), supported curriculum development, led assessment and intervention systems, and coached teachers through data-driven instructional practices. She also played an integral role in implementing the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme and strengthening support systems for all learners.
Mrs. McGregor holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, completed her Educational Leadership Program through Adams State College, and holds both Texas and Colorado Professional Principal Licenses.

Lake Dallas ISD is excited to announce the hiring of Jessica Kindberg as the newest Assistant Principal of Lake Dallas Middle School!
Mrs. Kindberg joins the Falcon family with more than 20 years of experience in education and a passion for developing both students and educators. Throughout her career, she has served as a classroom teacher, campus leader, instructional facilitator, and professional development presenter, building a reputation for fostering collaboration, strengthening instruction, and creating meaningful learning experiences for all students.
Mrs. Kindberg earned her Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas and received her Texas Administrator Certification in 2025. She is T-TESS certified and brings extensive experience in instructional coaching, curriculum planning, PLC implementation, and leadership development.
Known for her collaborative spirit, positive attitude, and commitment to helping others grow, Mrs. Kindberg believes strong relationships are the foundation of student success. Her focus on supporting teachers, engaging families, and creating a culture where every student can thrive makes her an outstanding addition to the Lake Dallas Middle School leadership team.
The Board heard a 2026-2027 Budget Update from Dr. Kristin N. Brown, Superintendent, as well as updates regarding the Employee Handbook for the 2026-2027 school year from Chief of Staff Mollie Avelino. Additionally, updates to the 2026-2027 Student Handbook and Student Code of Conduct were preseneted by Chief Operations Officer John Modica, and preliminary STAAR scores for 2025-2026 were presented by Deputy Superintendent Dr. Kelly O'Sullivan.
