School Counselor
The Wisconsin Comprehensive School Counseling model provides programming that encourages and promotes academic, career and personal/social development for students in preparation for lifelong healthy learning and success. At the Lac du Flambeau Public School this is accomplished through the implementation of Developmental Guidance classes and individual and group counseling sessions. The content areas are focused on character education, bully prevention, child protection, mental health and conflict resolution.
Having grown up in Minocqua my roots run deep in the Lakeland area. My husband, Pete and I have been married for 32 years and we have three adult children. My husband retired from the Lac du Flambeau Public School where he taught Special Education for 23 years.
I received my Bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in Corporate Fitness and a Minor in Health Education. Later in life I decided to pursue a Masters in Education, School Counseling degree from Concordia University. I started at the Lac du Flambeau Public School in 2011 and I love my job as a school counselor serving the children and families here.
In my free time, I love to stay active with yoga, kayaking, biking and relaxing on my boat on area lakes.
My Services Include:
