Kevin Smith

Boozhoo,

I am a member of the Lac du Flambeau Chippewa Indian tribe. I grew up on the reservation in Lac du Flambeau attending the grade school here. I then went to Lakeland Union High School and graduated in 1983. After graduation I attended UW-Stout as a Math Major. I moved back to the reservation in 1991 and then decided that I wanted to get a degree in teaching. So I went back to school at Mount Senario College in Ladysmith Wisconsin and graduated in 1997. I have been teaching at Lac du Flambeau grade school since graduating.

I have three daughters, one of which is in college, another who practices law in Minneapolis, and a third in the medical field who also lives in Minneapolis . I have one son who is a Freshman attending LUHS. My wife works at the Peter Christensen Health Center.

In my free time I love to camp and read. I also love to participate in off reservation gathering of fish and game.
