Dear Parents and Students of Room 23,
My name is Annette Fuelling, and I look forward to an exciting 2025–2026 school year. By way of background, I have taught within the La Cañada Unified School District (LCUSD) for the past several years, have over 22 years of teaching experience at the elementary grade level, and hold a degree in Education from the University of Southern California (USC). Twelve years ago, I received a certificate in Differentiated Curriculum for Gifted and High-Achieving Students from USC, and I enjoy implementing these strategies with my students. As an educator, my goal is for each student to embrace the "Love of Learning." I take pride in providing a positive learning environment that fosters academic, social, and personal growth for my students.
On a personal note, I have lived in La Cañada for the past 28 years, and I am proud of our community and incredible school district. I am the only woman in a household of men that includes my wonderful husband, three active boys, and my loving puppies—George, my Old English Sheepdog, and Gus, my Black Labrador. These men keep me on my toes and can drive me crazy sometimes, but I would not trade them for anything. All three of my boys attended La Cañada Elementary. It's hard to believe, but my boys are growing up! My oldest son, Robbie, is a sports reporter in Dallas, Texas, and will be completing his MBA at Texas Christian University (TCU) this fall. My second son, Mike, is an industrial real estate broker with CBRE and enjoys living on the West Side. My youngest son, Daniel, will start his senior year at TCU. I am proud to be a "Trojan," and frequently attend USC sporting events, and love going to Dodger Games with my family. I am learning how to play golf and enjoy playing with my boys. When time permits, we also travel to Mammoth Lakes and enjoy hiking, biking, and skiing in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains.
I'm looking forward to a fabulous school year!
Annette Fuelling
