The Preliminary SAT, also known as the PSAT is a practice version of the SAT exam. If you earn a high score on the PSAT your junior year, you could qualify to receive a National Merit Scholarship. $180 million dollars in merit scholarships are awarded to students each year.
Fall 2024 PSAT
October 22nd
LHS will be offering optional PSAT testing on October 22nd. This option is for juniors only.
Students will need to report to OUL by 7:44 AM. Any late students will not be permitted to test.
Testing will be complete by approximately 11:30 AM.
These exams will be in an online format. Please bring your fully charged Chromebook.
Students will be excused from school on this day, but are responsible for any missing assignments.
Students will be permitted to drive themselves or can be dropped off directly at OUL , OR they can walk as a group (with a staff member) from LHS.
Students who walk to and from OUL will report back to LHS after testing.
For those students returning to LHS who have a 4th or 5th period lunch, you will eat 6th period. Students who usually eat lunch 6th or 7th period will eat during their regularly scheduled time.
The current cost of the exam is expected to be $18. Payment can be made on My School Bucks, by check (made payable to Lancaster High School), credit/debit card in person, or over the phone for an additional $1 AFTER the day of testing.
Students are encouraged to create a free account on collegeboard.org before the day of the exams.
Please complete the form below by 2:38 PM on Tuesday, September 2nd. Any student with IEP or 504 accommodations must submit this form AND indicate the need for accommodations with the check box.
Registration will be open until the date above OR until 50 students sign up, whichever occurs first.
No late additions will be made.
