Google Classroom/Schoology
We will be using Google Classroom for our learning management system; however, you will take assessments on Schoology.
Work will be posted weekly on here ("Weekly Learning Plans" on the CP or Co-teaching tabs) and Google Classroom.
Please submit all assignments through Google Classroom. Do not email any assignments.
Parents/Guardians: You can view the Weekly Learning Plans here each week.
Class Materials
Spiral notebook (70 sheets+, any color)
Pencils/pens
Folder (specifically for English class)
Notebook paper
Charged Chromebook
Students will need access to their Chromebooks and internet daily. IT MUST BE CHARGED. Tech staff will be available daily for any replacement, repair, or troubleshooting needs.
I have some supplies available if you need them.
Communicating
Please use your school email address when emailing your teachers.
I will respond to emails within 24 hours of receiving them (excluding weekends). I answer emails when I am at school (before the school day begins, when the student school day ends, and my conference period). There will be exceptions when a major project or essay is due the next day.
When you email your teachers, please include a subject, greeting, proper grammar and spelling, appropriate tone, and your name and class period.
Parents/Guardians: Email is the quickest way to get in touch with me! ashlin_henderson@lcsschools.net
English Lab
English Lab is available during lunch periods (4, 5, 6, and 7) in the library.
An English teacher is available to help you with anything English-related.
I can assign English Lab, your counselor can give you a pass, or you can ask to attend for extra help or a quiet place to work.
You must sign in on the Chromebook and work quietly on English-related work.
Classroom Library
Please borrow any book from my classroom library that interests you! I just ask that you return books in good condition by the end of the school year.
Like with any library, I have not read all the books I have on my shelves. I suggest you look up reviews and a summary of the book online.
Parents/Guardians: You can visit Common Sense Media for information about books your child is reading.
