College Credit Plus
Ohio’s College Credit Plus can help you earn college and high school credits at the same time by taking college courses from community colleges or universities. The purpose of this program is to promote rigorous academic pursuits and to provide a wide variety of options to college-ready students. Taking a college course from a public college or university is free. That means no cost for tuition, books or fees. If you choose to attend a private college or university, you may have limited costs.
*College Credit Plus Informational Session will be January 22nd, 2024 at 6pm in the LHS Auditorium
Forms Needed
- Letter Of Intent 2024-2025- Due Monday, April 1 2024 to the LHS Counseling Office (must be completed each year for participation)
- CCP Contract 2024-2025 - Due Monday, April 1 2024 to the LHS Counseling Office (must be completed each year for participation)
- Specific School CCP Application - see below for links to the local college CCP applications
Required Scores
For the 2024-25 school year, students are qualified to participate if they meet one of the criteria below:
--the student has a cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.0 or higher
--the student has a cumulative unweighted GPA of at least 2.75, but less than 3.0 and received an A or B grade in a relevant high school course.
--the student has a remediation-free ACT or SAT score or placement testing through the college. ***Remediation free ACT standards. English - 18, Reading - 22, Mathematics - 22

Transferology is a free online tool to show how courses you have taken, or plan to take, will will transfer to another college or university for credit. To get started, click the link above and create your free account.

Textbook Policy
LHS will supply your CCP textbook. Please check in the LHS library for any textbook you need. If we do not have it, see Mrs. Pierce to get your texts ordered. All textbooks need to be returned to the LHS library at the end of the semester. If you need online access for a class, see Mrs. Pierce.

COTC is excited to host one in-person and one online CCP information meeting for students and families interested in learning more about College Credit Plus. Our CCP staff will go over state requirements as well as present on information specific to taking CCP courses with COTC.
Our in-person CCP information meeting will be held on the Newark campus on Thursday, February 24th from 6:00-7:00 pm.
The online CCP information meeting will be held via Zoom on Tuesday, March 1st from 6:00-7:00 pm.
