Student-Athlete Eligibility

Academics

Incoming student-athletes in Divisions I and II are subject to academic initial-eligibility standards, which include number of core courses taken in high school, the grades earned in those core courses and may include standardized test scores. In addition to NCAA requirements, they also must also meet the unique acceptance requirements of the university they plan to attend (those requirements may exceed NCAA standards).

Division I student-athletes are also subject to progress-toward-degree rules that require them to advance toward graduation each year.

Division III institutions hold student-athletes to the same overall standards for the institution in which the student-athlete is enrolling.

Students and Parents are responsible for ensuring that students are taking NCAA approved courses throughout high school.

The NCAA approved Core Course List for Lancaster High School can be viewed in the High School Portal by entering Lancaster High School's CEEB Code: 362880.

Education Impacting Disabilities (EID)

Students with a "current impairment that has a substantial impact on a student's academic performance and requires accommodation."

May receive certain accommodations to help meet
NCAA standards May use NCAA approved courses for students with EIDs as designated on the high school core course list.
