Course Description
The focus of world history is the major civilizations of the past beginning around the mid fourteenth century to the present times and their contributions to today’s world. The geography of those civilizations as well as their social and political developments will be studied in this course. Critical thinking is an important component to this course as well as using factual knowledge to understand how the world has evolved over time. The changes in civilizations will be studied as well as why they occurred and what were the consequences. Comparisons will be made among the various civilizations to see how they are similar and how they are different from one another.
