ARMY JROTC LEADERSHIP EDUCATION TRAINING (LET) 2 Course Description: 

Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) is a leadership education program. This program will help students build a strong knowledge base of self-discovery and leadership skills applicable to many leadership and managerial situations. Mastery of these standards through project-based learning, service learning and leadership development activities will prepare students for 21st Century leadership responsibilities.  

This laboratory course is designed to build on the leadership experiences developed during JROTC 1. It introduce students to wellness, fitness, and first aid, geography and earth science, citizenship in American history and government. It teaches students how to develop healthy lifestyles, how to administer first aid for emergency and non-emergency situations. It gives student an awareness of the harmful effects of drug abuse.

High schools students will gain a knowledge of how to respond to emergency first aid situations, how to administer life-saving step, control bleeding, treat victims for shock and broken bones.  Administer proper care for burn victims and many other skills.  They will develop an understanding of map skills. It enhances their understanding of the history of our nation and how our government was formed. The JROTC curriculum is enhanced through physical fitness activities, extracurricular and co-curricular activities that support the core employability skills standards and McRel academic standards.
