Branded Signage - The school's beloved custodian "Grandma" asked if we could make signage to help with the organization of condiments in the cafeteria. The above photos are the sketches from what became our mini unit on branded signage with a comedic hook.

While the students did not formally participte in the FBLA tee-shirt design contest, they designed tee-shirts and sweatshirts as part of their marketing plan. The below photo shows one talented student's work in progress.
Our business students are committed to EXCELLENCE ONLY in everything that they do. Below is our reflective practice poster. We use it to take a "brain break" to doodle whatever comes to mind to decompress from the intense focus on our classwork.
Our marketing students took time before our welcomed Spring Break to discuss their plans with professionals from our student services office. They were able to discuss how to turn a summer cross-country trip into a blogging opportunity - Life as a Teenager Traveling the World. Look for the first episode later this spring!
In addition, they spoke about the specifics of how one student currently working in construction might select the best the geographic location for his business. Here in lovely South Carolina, where has deep roots, or loosing him 😢to a city further north. Wherever he goes, he will have the firm foundation from LCSD and his growing involvement with FBLA to support him.
As our marketing students come closer the end of the year, they are working to put the finishing touches on their actionable business plans. The goal is that they begin the first phrase of their plan this summer. This means "doing business" with at least two clients they have secured during the school year. Below are photos of the exploratory clay models they have created of their business logos.
On the left is the logo to accompany the sweatshirt design for Xotic Construction seen above and the other a farm hand business specializing in the care of horses. They are still works in progress that are on track to be completed before school lets out and work begins!
