Wilson's Marching Band

Welcome from the director,

My philosophy of music education is to help students achieve their full potential while learning a skill set that they can take with them for the rest of their lives. Music provides a unique opportunity for students to express themselves. Cultivating these expressions along with the knowledge of music helps to provide a well rounded education. As the band progresses forward we look to grow in both quantity and quality. We are not only instilling the concepts of music education but also helping to provide a "compass" to these band students as they move forward in their lives. GO WARRIORS!!

Marching Band

The Marching Band consists of all brass, woodwind, percussion, and auxiliary groups. They perform at all football games, pep rallies, marching band competitions, and parades. Marching band is open to dedicated students grades 7-12. The marching band meets in the fall semester. ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY AND WILL BE A PORTION OF THE STUDENT’S GRADE!! After-school rehearsals/performances are very important to the success of the entire ensemble, thus they will be graded.

Concert Band

The Concert Band is made up of all the instruments in the brass, woodwind, and percussion families. They perform on multiple occasions during and outside of school times during the Spring Semester. The Concert Band will also have a chance to perform for the Alabama State Music Performance Assessment. ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY AND WILL BE A PORTION OF THE STUDENT’S GRADE!! Section leaders will be determined through leadership and chair auditions.
