Class Officers

To qualify for an office you must have maintained a “C” average during your junior year, you must have attended Wilson during your junior year, you must be a student of good standing with the faculty and administration, and must meet the requirements for an Alabama High School Diploma.  Applicants must have NO discipline problems! 

Senior class officers are expected to carry out many responsibilities.  Failure to fulfill one’s obligations may result in forfeiting your class office.  A few of the class officer duties include choosing Senior apparel for the class, deciding on graduation announcement wording, homecoming activities work and organizations, student council participation (and $15 fee), assisting with distributing senior items, making plans for your entire Senior year, and setting up and speaking at Class Day and Graduation.  Senior class officers definitely do more than get their picture in the yearbook.  Be ready to work and be RELIABLE.

You will be told by August 15th at 9 a.m. if your application has been denied. All campaign signs, posters, etc. are limited to the areas surrounding Mrs. Holcombe's and Coach Krieger's rooms.  Do not use heavy duty tape that will peel off the paint! Also, use good taste when preparing your campaign materials. Before campaigning, review the qualifications and make sure you meet them. If you are unsure, check with Mrs. Holcombe BEFORE campaigning! Senior officer applications will close Thursday October 14th.
