Algebra II

Mrs. Yi

Algebra II students extend the concepts of Algebra I. A thorough study of advanced algebraic concepts is provided through the exploration of functions, polynomials, rational expressions, sequences and series, and complex numbers. Students will create graphs using translation, reflection, dilation, and rotation.

The syllabus details course policies, procedures, and expectations for class.

The calendar lists upcoming due dates and assessments. It is updated frequently.

Apps:

Use our Padlet to ask questions when you get stuck. This is an especially helpful tool when you are watching the instructional videos for homework!

Each day you will complete a bell ringer and mastery check using this application. These assessments will help to monitor & track your progress.

Websites:

This online graphing calculator will help you to graph and explore functions. The VA Department of Education has incorporated the Desmos calculator as an app on the Algebra 2 SOL.

You will use this website to complete exploration and practice activities throughout the year. You will setup your own account (email and password). Contact Mrs. Yi if you forget your login information.

Resources:

This page contains "How To" documents for many of the calculator skills we will build this year (both on the TI-84 and on Desmos). If you forget how to do something on the calculator, this page probably has a document that will guide you through the steps.

Throughout the year you are encouraged to complete "foldables." They will serve as a study tool and a quick reference guide for later in the year. If you need an extra copy of a foldable, it can be downloaded from this page.
