Most of these lessons use an interactive Google Slides Presentation with the Pear Deck add on. You will need to install the add on in Slides if you do not already have it. In some cases you may use a Nearpod Lesson. Nearpod can be accessed via LCPS Go by teachers and students.

To Install the Pear Deck add on

Open the Google Slides Presentation
Click on Add ons
If you DO NOT have Pear Deck installed, select Get add-ons... and type Pear Deck in the search bar then click the +Free button. You will have to allow Pear Deck access to your account. Follow any set-up instructions that you are given.
If you do have the Pear Deck add on installed, select Pear Deck
Once you have installed and authorized the add on you may use it.
To open Pear Deck go to Add ons and select Pear Deck then Open Pear Deck Add on
This will open a Pear Deck tool bar on the right side of your google slides
To present click the Present with Pear Deck button
Your slides will load then you will get the joinpd.com screen below. Have your student go to joinpd.com and enter the class code you are given. This will allow them to interact with the lesson.
