The Trailside Library Mission

The Trailside Middle School library strives to be a safe and welcoming place for all, where students can locate, evaluate, explore, and learn responsibly. We are proud that our collection and resources are reflective of the community we serve and of the values we aim to instill in our students. We create lifelong learners by promoting the love of reading in all formats. Finally, our library strives to empower students to make meaningful contributions to the world.

• Provide access to a wide variety of materials and information sources. 

• Promote reading in all formats to create lifelong learners.

• Assist/instruct students and staff in locating, evaluating, and using information responsibly in a diverse and changing world.

• Ensure the diversity (race, ethnicity, culture, socioeconomic, religion, sexual orientation, gender) and commonality of the world are represented in the collection.
