Meet Your Library Staff

Mrs. Grim

Mrs. Grim

I have been a librarian for 23 years, and Sugarland's librarian for 16.

A native Californian, I studied history in college and have a BA and MA in Chinese History from the University of California, San Diego. Part of my studies included teaching English to college students in China for one year! In addition, I have an MLS in Library Science from the University of Maryland.

My family includes my husband Paul, and our children Betsy and her husband Kenny, Kevin, Jenny, Claire, Michael, Andreas (our Danish son), our dog, Gunner, and our two cats, Calvin and Hobbes.

I love teaching, reading and educational technology! I work each day to help students develop a love of reading and learning here at Sugarland.

Mrs. Currin

Mrs. Currin

I am in my 11th year at Sugarland as the library assistant. I returned to the workforce after taking time off to raise my three children who have all attended Sugarland. I am a native Virginian having grown up in Arlington.

I attended George Mason University where I studied Parks, Recreation and Leisure Studies. My goal was to become a National Park Ranger, but life had other plans for me. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, geocaching and camping. I also enjoy reading and am rarely without a good book on hand. I am looking forward to another great year at Sugarland!
