Our club aims to bring together students who are passionate about STEM, which originally includes: science, technology, engineering, and math. However, our club has modified the STEM acronym by changing the E to Environmental Science and M to Mental Health, for greater variety and relevance. Every quarter, members choose any topic under that quarter's theme (one for each STEM letter) and conduct independent research to write a full academic article on the subject. Our purpose is to create a fun, low-stakes environment for students at Riverside High School to pursue their interests in a guided-research framework with their peers.
Our club was first established in the 2022-2023 school year. Since then, officers and club members have worked to complete scientific write-ups about each STEM subject. Students have chosen topics such as nanotechnology, GMOs, and endangered species. Check out our Articles section to see works from students in the past year!
