"Thank you for an amazing, RVHS record-breaking season! This was our first time Riverside has gone to states in UVA and we can't have done it without your support. We earned the most amount of places and higher rankings in the past competitions this year than we did since we started this club in 2022. We've had so much fun helping, talking, and competing with everyone! Also, thank you, seniors your commitment, leadership, and passion built something lasting, and we’ll miss you.

Welcome to The Riverside High School Science Olympiad Website
Virginia Science Olympiad (VASO) is an academic competition that engages students in a wide range of scientific disciplines through team-based events. Established to foster a love for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) among students, VASO challenges participants to apply their knowledge in creative and practical ways. With a focus on collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving, VASO's mission is to inspire and empower the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators by providing a platform for students to explore and excel in STEM fields.
Club Mission
Riverside Science Olympiad's mission is to foster an interest for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics within our High school. We're focused on creating an inclusive environment where members can enhance their skills, abilities and can expand their knowledge in the science field and use those skills to participate in competitions.
