Sofia (Ms. Honey) is an eighth-grader who has found a home in the performing arts. She has graced the stage as Frenchie in Grease and Grace in Annie. Sofia is a member of the Studio Bleu Dance and Theater Center and was selected for All-State Chorus when she was only 11 years old. She is also a Cello player and a member of the Loudoun Symphony Youth Orchestra. This year Sofia was selected First Cello for All-County Orchestra. She appreciates the support of her family, friends, teachers, and the entire cast and crew of Matilda Jr. during rehearsals. She especially wants to thank her mother who has gifted her with a love of music and a work ethic to be successful as she looks forward to high school and beyond.
Natalie is an 8th grade student and is performing in her second musical at Eagle Ridge. She was first in the ensemble of Annie Jr. in 6th grade and now is acting as Nigel in the musical Matilda Jr. She is very involved in the fine arts and likes drawing, playing her trumpet, and participating in the drama activities the school has to offer. Other than that she likes to stay active by playing tennis and taking dance classes. She is excited to see the production come together and is very grateful for everyone who helped along the way, including her family and friends for encouraging her.
Emilie is in 6th grade and is excited for her first musical at Eagle ridge She is appearing in the ensemble in Matilda JR. Other things she does in her free time are ice skating, golf, and hanging out with her friends including her rabbit, Lapi. She would like to thank her parents for supporting her, the director, producer, crew, and the PTA for sponsoring the musical. Emilie Loves appearing on the stage and is hoping to be in the next school musical.
Akhita is super excited to participate in her 2nd musical, Matilda Jr. She thoroughly enjoyed her first experience in the summer performance of Beauty and the Beast Jr. in 2021. Akhita is an 8th grader who loves the performing arts, including dance and playing the guitar. She also loves sports such as soccer and volleyball. Akhita appreciates all of the hard work of the cast, crew and directors in bring this musical to life. She also thanks her family for their love and support.
Chloe is a 6th grader and is excited to debut in her first school musical as part of the ensemble. Chloe was Jiminy Cricket in Pinocchio back in 2017and also played the monkey, Mr. Nilsson, in Pippi Longstocking. She has also appeared in two seasonal plays at church. Outside of performing, Chloe enjoys singing, dancing, and swimming. Chloe would like to thank her friends, family, cast, crew and directors for all their support and hard work.
Aubrey is a 6th grader and is eager for her first journey into dramatic arts this year at Eagle Ridge. She has been dancing the past 8 years including 2 years on a dance competition team. Aubrey has true passion for tap and jazz. In her free time she loves to do science experiments, bake, practice yoga, and read. She would like to thank all of the people that worked on this production and her family and friends for all their support.
Siena is a 7th grader and is excited to be in her second show at Eagle Ridge. Over the summer she was a narrator in Beauty of the Beast. In her spare time, Siena enjoys playing on a travel field hockey team and making jewelry. She has had fun working with her friends on the show and can't believe it's almost over. Everyone has worked so hard to put the play on; she's so grateful she's had the chance to work with such amazing and talented people.
Eileen Edwards is 11 years old and is very excited to be playing the role of Lavender! She has performed in Grease, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Ramona the Pest. Eileen was selected for the 6th Grade All County Chorus. In her free time she enjoys playing field hockey and dancing hip hop at Ashburn Academy of Dance. Most of all , she is very excited to start doing more musicals over the summer and during her time at Eagle Ridge.
Hi i'm Jack, I'm in 8th grade this is my 3rd show at Eagle Ridge. My first was a one act called Bedtime Stories where I played a character named Wally. My second show was last summer where I was apart of the ensemble in Beauty and The Beast. Off of the stage I love listening to music and hanging out with my friends. I would like to thank the lovely crew and the rest of the awesome cast. I would also like to thank my family and friends for always being there for me. I'm sad to leave Eagle Ridge, but I'm happy to end my theater career here on a high note.
Mareyn is a sixth grader and is excited to appear in her first musical at Eagle Ridge. Outside of theater, she enjoys figure skating and soccer. Thank you to Ms. Shinas and Mr. Simonton and all of the other teachers who helped. This has been a great experience and I’ve learned a lot about theater.
As an 8th grader, being a part of ERMS theater has changed my life. Little did I know that doing Annie Jr. in 2019 would open up a world of happiness. Playing Lumiere in the 2021 production of Beauty and the Beast Jr. was a blast. I hope you enjoy Matilda just as much as I've enjoyed being a part of it. For all of these 3 years, I would like to thank Ms. Shinas, Ms. Guenther, Mrs. Broadfoot, Mr. Tangredi, Ms. Cini, Mrs. Pruzina, and of course Mr. Simonton.
Hello my name is Dhrithi and I am so excited to be in this musical and preform on stage. This was a totally new experience for me. Other than being in the musical I love to read and sing. I think the cast, crew, and everyone else involved in the musical are amazing and put so much hard work into making the musical so awesome. This was an amazing experience. Thank you everyone.
Madilyn is a 7th grader who is enthusiastic to be in her second musical at ERMS. She was a narrator in Beauty and the Beast Jr. over the summer, and absolutely adored performing. Outside of acting and singing, Madilyn often spends her time drawing. She loves character design and putting a story to a face. She is delighted to be able to participate in Matilda the Musical, even with all the hardships of walking in heels. She would love to thank her supportive parents for always supporting her passion for theater.
Olivia is a seventh grader and is excited to be in this year’s production of Matilda Jr., her second performance at Eagle Ridge. She was Babette in the 2021 production of Beauty and the beast. Olivia looks forward to many more shows that come her way.
Eliana is an 8th grader here at Eagle Ridge. She was Belle in Beauty and the Beast in the summer of 2021, and is very excited to be a part of this show. She would like to thank her long term voice and acting teacher Linda Cirba and her parents for introducing and immersing her into the arts. I am courageous, kind, and loving. If I have a friend in need, I am always glad to help them. I am a pre-professional ballerina and have had a love of dance and music from a very young age. I also have a love for traveling and have been to over 10+ countries and lived abroad for 3 years.
Maya is an 8th grader and is excited to appear in her first production at Eagle Ridge! Outside of theater, Maya loves dancing, singing, practicing her instrument, and listening to music. She is so thankful she got to work with the amazing cast, crew, and directors who worked together to make this musical. She is also so thankful for the support her family gave her.
Katie is in 7th grade and is excited to be in her first musical at Eagle Ridge. Katie has competed with Capital Theater on ice for 7 years, and she excited to be in her first stage production. She would like to thank the directors and the crew for making the musical happen.

Outside of productions, they spend their free time by drawing things that come to mind, and watching all kinds of shows. Avni is a 6th grader who is very psyched to be in her first musical. She is in the Little Kids ensemble, and is also the Cook. Avni likes playing basketball with her friends, and watching Marvel movies. Avni is very excited for this play, and she would like to thank the staff for making this musical possible.
Myra is an 6th grader and is super excited to be in her first musical at Eagle Ridge. She is in the ensemble and plays a Russian in Matilda Jr. Other than performing, Myra enjoys art and baking, is a Girl Scout, and does swimming. Diya is a 6th grader and this is her first musical at Eagle Ridge Middle School. She is playing a young child in Mrs. Honey's class. She would like to thank her sister, her parents, the cast and crew for their efforts in guiding her and working with her to put on an awesome show. I am so excited to be in Matilda Jr and use my love of singing and dancing in this show. This is my 8th play I have been in. I am very thankful for my mom and dad for their love and support. Autumn is in sixth grade and is excited to be playing in Matilda as Amanda Thripp. She is in the Eagle Ridge Drama Club and has enjoyed performances at The Kennedy Center, Ford’s Theater and on Broadway. In second grade she played in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as Mrs. Bucket (Charlie’s mother). She has also been studying piano for three years.
Ava is in eighth grade and is excited to be playing in Matilda as Mrs. Philips. She has been in the drama club for three years, and is serving as president for the second year in a row. Ava’s passion for theater began after attending The Lion King on Broadway in 2016. She later played in Mill Run Elementary’s production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and has enjoyed attending performances at The Kennedy Center and Ford’s Theater.
Manya is an 7th grader who is excited to appear in her 2nd musical at Eagle Ridge middle school. She was an ensemble of Beauty and the Beast Jr. 2021. She played roles of a wolf, villager and fork last year. Outside of performing, Manya plays the violin and she is in the advanced level in swimming. She also does gymnastics and dance. She would like to thank the cast, crew, and directors for all of their hard work in putting this production together. She would also like to thank her family and friends for all their love and support.
Elisabeth is a 6th grader at Eagle Ridge Middle School. This is her 8th performance. She was in Beauty and the Beast JR, Aladdin KIDS, Lion King KIDS, Frozen JR, The Little Mermaid JR, and 101 Dalmatians KIDS at Secret Garden Children's Theatre. She was also in Moana JR with Broadway Bound at Rock Ridge High School. Elisabeth is currently working on earning her 3rd degree black belt in American Freestyle Karate. Elisabeth would like to thank her parents and wish the cast of Matilda JR to “break a leg!”
Hrithik is a 7th grader and is stoked about attending his first musical. I would like to thank Ms.G for her amazing singing revisions and her sound track practices. I mostly appreciate all the effort everyone is contributing.
Gabriel is an 8th grader and is extremely hyped to appear on his second play at Eagle Ridge. He was the beast in Beauty and the Beast Jr. in 2021. He loves to learn about the art of Theatre/Drama. Outside of Drama/Theatre, Gabriel is a 1st degree black belt and captain of the sparring team at his dojang. He would like to thank Master Jeong for giving him confidence, strength, and improving his mental health. He would also like to thank the directors, cast, and crew for their hard work into making this production a success. Another thanks to family, friends, and Dogs for all the unconditional love and support! He can't wait for the next production!
Akshaj is a sixth grade student at Eagle Ridge Middle School. This is his first year in acting. He has acted before in musicals, but only as background characters. He is very exited to be playing as Eric in Matilda Jr. 2022. He has played the piano for six years and he likes to play video games such as Pokémon. His favorite sport is tennis. He would like to thank his family for being very kind and supportive. All of the cast has been working hard so I think this will be the best musical ever. This has been an amazing and fun experience and I loved being apart of this musical!
Hi! My name is Aahana Walvekar and I am a 6th grader here at Eagle Ridge. I have performed in many other plays outside of school, but this is my very first musical and I am very excited to be a part of the ensemble! Theater is a very important part of my life, so when I'm not on stage you could probably find me singing, dancing or bothering my friends and family. I would like to thank my fellow cast members, crew and my amazing directors for their perseverance in putting this production together. I would also like to thank my family, especially my sister for having to hear me practice and helping me sound… well… good! I hope you have a good time and enjoy the show!
Veronica is a 6th grader and is very happy to be in her first musical. Veronica is usually more into sports but she is very open to the idea of Matilda Jr. She will be in the ensemble for this musical. She would like to thank Mr. Simonton, Ms. Guenther, Miss Broadfoot, Miss Shinas, and everyone in the cast and crew. It has been an amazing experience for Veronica and she is looking forward to the next musical.
Naomi is an 8th grader and is very excited to be putting on this amazing play. This is Naomi's 2nd play as she was Babette in Beauty and the Beast Jr, 2021. Outside of the world of acting Naomi likes to practice her taekwondo, be outside, bake, and make wonderful artwork.
