LIYLS 2022

REBUILDING CONNECTIONS,

RESHAPING OUR FUTURE.

MARCH 18 - 22, 2022

The Loudoun International Youth Leadership Summit (LIYLS) is a forum for young leaders across the world to address the most pressing challenges facing the global community.

Planned and facilitated by the Global Ambassadors clubs of Dominion High School, Woodgrove High School, and Broad Run High School, this five-day event brings together students from our partner schools in twenty countries to participate in a simulation centered around addressing real-world issues related to the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals.

What did LIYLS look like exactly?

LIYLS brought young leaders around the world together for four hours each day (7:00AM EDT to 11:00AM EDT) to engage in small group activities with their peers from around the world, hear from speakers, and engage in a simulation centered around the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The simulation placed delegates in imaginary country groups with students from around the world. Each delegate was assigned a specific role in their designated country. With guidance from the student facilitators, each country group considered a wide range of global dilemmas.
