formerly known as the Loudoun International Youth Leadership Summit
The Loudoun International Summit will be held April 15 to April 19, 2024. Loudoun County students look forward to the opportunity to learn from the perspectives of their peers from around the world and find common ground on the most pressing issues facing the global community.
In 2012 Dominion High School hosted Loudoun's first international summit. 24 students from six countries were hosted by Dominion families for 10 days of globally-focused learning. In each of the subsequent years the summit grew and expanded to include additional schools in Loudoun County and the world. By 2019, over 30 international delegations and 8 Loudoun schools were participating. During the COVID-19 crisis, students re-imagined an online program to engage our partner schools.
We are thrilled to announce the resumption of our in-person program this year. Six Loudoun high schools (Dominion, Lightridge, Loudoun Valley, Park View, Rock Ridge, and Woodgrove) will host approximately 70 students (17 international delegations) in 2024, including schools from Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Lebanon, Poland, South Africa, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
