How many colleges should I apply to? We recommend you apply to 4-6 schools.

Is my social security number required? You do not have to give your social security number to apply. Some colleges will use your birthdate and an application number as a tracking device in addition to your name.
Do I need to list any additional schools besides LCHS? List any school where you have earned high school credit (not middle school).
What is the difference between Early Decision, Early Action, Rolling Admission?
Early Decision - Apply early; notified early - BINDING agreement.
Early Action - Apply early; notified early - NON-BINDING agreement.
Rolling Admission - no set deadlines, but apply within average deadline dates as they can run of the room.
How do I submit my SAT/ACT scores? Scores must be submitted through the testing organization.
I know I can take the SAT multiple times and colleges will take my best score. Is this true for the ACT as well? You can take either test multiple times. Most colleges will take your best combined score. Some will ask for your best score in one sitting.
Which AP test scores should I report? Plan on sending all AP scores in May of your senior year. AP scores are not part of the admissions process.
What is the TOEFL/IELTS? These are test for non-native English speakers.
Should I list all of the courses I am currently taking? Even though your transcript lists your current schedule, you should list all of the classes you are taking for credit. Do not include study hall, office helper, etc. DO include online classes.
