Virginia Girls State
Virginia Girls State of the American Legion Auxiliary is proud to host its 75th session at Longwood University this upcoming June 19-25. Current Juniors are encouraged to apply to this prestigious program and learn firsthand how their state and local governments work. Through this program, the American Legion Auxiliary hopes to make young citizens realize that they are an essential part of their government.
Program Objectives:
To develop civic leadership and pride in American citizenship.
To arouse a keen interest in the detailed student of our government.
To inculcate a sense of individual obligation to the Community, State, and Nation.
