The Farmwell Library Book Club meets once a month during lunch. Students attend during whichever lunch shift they have.
Our Project LIT book club is an opportunity for students to get together during lunch once a month to read and talk about books, but in the words of Dr. Amato, “Project LIT is not just about books; it’s also about belonging. It’s about building a community of readers and writers. It’s about empowering our young people and providing our students with as many positive literacy experiences as possible. “
We can accept more than 30 students into the book club, but we can only provide copies of the books to the first 30 students who sign up. Students who sign up after the first 30 may be responsible for providing their own copies of the books. Students can stop by the library to pick up a sign up permission form .
The librarian communicates with student members of the book club through the Library Book Club Schoology Group and school Gmail accounts.
