TECH CREW APPLICATION: https://forms.gle/hsdu3eUxZUZoTsct7
REQUIREMENTS TO BE PART OF TECH CREW:
YOU MUST SUBMIT an application online by Wednesday, January 18 (link coming after winter break). No late applications are accepted; lateness in theatre is not acceptable.
YOU MUST ATTEND the "Musical Theatre Boot Camp" on Saturday, February 11, from 9 AM-12 PM.
YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE for all performance dates and other mandatory rehearsal dates.
If you cannot complete these requirements, you will not be part of tech crew. We have a HUGE number of people interested in tech crew, so we do not make exceptions to these rules. Do not ask.
Performance dates:
April 27, 28, 29 at 7 PM
April 28 at 2 PM
May 5 & 6 at 7 PM
Commitment
We have more tech crew than we need. Therefore, exceptions will not be made to attendance rules. Check your calendar NOW and make the necessary adjustments.
Missing more than 3 tech crew meetings, workdays, or other days you are called will result in being removed from the production.
Being in a theatre production at Stone Bridge is not a casual commitment. This exciting opportunity requires a great deal of your time, so please be prepared.
Activities such as sports are not compatible with participating in this production. Trust me when I say you will not have time to do both.
The fee to participate in this production is $75, which is the same as the fee to participate in athletics. The fee includes materials needed for a successful show. If you are unable to pay the fee, there is an exemption form available for you. The fee is due by midnight on FRIDAY, MARCH 3. If you do not pay the fee by this time, you will be dropped from the production.
Rehearsals will be 3-5 days per week, depending on your role and our stage in the production.
Some rehearsals will take place before school, and some will take place after school. This is new this year, so please take a look at the rehearsal calendar for more information.
Be prepared for a great deal of line, music, and blocking memorization outside of rehearsal time.
All leading roles will be at rehearsals most days during the week.
Performers must be present for all seven performances, as well as a set strike.
During tech week, which is REQUIRED FOR ALL ACTORS AND TECHNICIANS, rehearsals run late, sometimes as late as 10:00 PM. It is a fact of theatre that tech week runs late, and it cannot and will not be done any other way. If staying late during tech week is not acceptable to you, do not be part of this production. Talk to your parents and prepare them for these late nights. Dinner will be provided for an additional fee through the Parent Boosters.
If you drop out of the production after FEBRUARY 11, you will not be eligible to participate in any Running Dog Productions activities for 12 months. Your show fee will not be refunded.
Exceptions will ONLY be made in extremely severe circumstances (hospital stay, funeral, etc.) with proper documentation and at the director's discretion.
