Getting Started at NOVA (Step-by-Step Guide for New Students)

1. Apply: If you are interested in enrolling at NOVA, please complete the application online - click here. Review this application tutorial for support.
2. Log into your MyNOVA Account & Complete Action Items: Visit the 24-Hour Support Center to chat with a specialist and learn if you have any holds or to-do list items on your MyNOVA account and the action items you need to take to clear your account. If you have trouble logging into your MyNOVA account contact the IT help desk (703.323.4141). If you are need extra support with your account, holds, or admission please contact us at enrollmentservices@nvcc.edu.
3. Math & English Placement:
· To determine the best-fit math and English courses for your first semester, please complete the Advising Survey for direct enrollment. Please note the following:
· You will need to input information about your academic background (including High School cumulative GPA and completed math courses).
· This survey can only be completed one time per student – please SAVE your results.
4. Enroll in Classes & Complete Orientation: Registration for Summer and Fall 2021 is underway! We encourage you to register early and secure your spot. Please note:
· Select courses & Enroll: If you are seeking class recommendations connect with an Advisor for support by visiting our Virtual Student Support and review tutorials and get enrolled in classes.
· Online Orientation: Complete the New2NOVA Online Interactive Orientation Modules to learn about campus resources and the transition to NOVA.
· Pay: Pay for your classes by the deadline.
