Mrs. Kindler graduated from Indiana University of PA with a B.S. in English Education. She also graduated from Longwood University with a M.Ed in School Librarianship. Before coming to Freedom High School in 2025, Mrs. Kindler was a librarian at Independence HS and a 6th grade Language Arts teacher at Belmont Ridge Middle School. Mrs. Kindler loves reading (especially mystery), traveling, spending time with family and friends, riding her Peloton bike, and working on cross stich/embroidery projects.
Sarah Bourgeois lives a busy, joy-filled life centered around her family and community. When she’s not at Freedom High School, you’ll likely find her and her husband, Matt, applauding Emma and Noelle at their musical theater performances or cheering from the sidelines for Noelle and Andrew at their sports. She loves having a cup of coffee that is mostly creamer and just enough coffee to justify it.
She brings more than 20 years of experience in education to her role, including 9 years as a high school social studies teacher & 5 years as a high school librarian in Maryland, and 5.5 years as the librarian at Dominion Trail Elementary. She believes in lifelong learning, strong communities, and always having an audiobook at the ready.
