Q: Can we submit SAT/ACT scores after we submit our application? A: Yes.
Q: Can we submit our application now even though we are planning on retaking the SAT/ACT in the later months? A: Yes
Q: Do counselors send our test scores? A: No, scores are sent via CollegeBoard website (SAT) or ACT website
Q: How do we send colleges our SAT/ACT scores? A: The student requests their scores to be sent directly from College Board or ACT
Q: What does it mean to self-report test scores? A: Self-report means the student will report their scores themselves and not through College Board or ACT. Colleges are trusting the student to accurately report their scores. They will eventually ask for official scores once the student is admitted
Q: Are there colleges that are waiving the SAT/ACT score due to COVID? A: Yes. Please do your research and go onto each school's website and figure out their requirements

Q: Where can I find my transcript on StudentVUE & ParentVUE? A: Unofficial senior transcripts can be accessed by going to the document folder
Q: Where can I find the transcript request form? A: The form can be found on the transcript request or forms tab of this website by clicking on the 4-Year College/University drop-down.
Q: When should I list a secondary school on my college application and/or SRAR? A: If the student is taking a course at a college or university independently and it does not show up on FHS transcript. If you are attending the Academies of Loudoun and/or taking a DE course AT Freedom, that is NOT a secondary school.

Q: Can teachers/counselors submit their letter of rec after we have submitted our application? A: Yes
Q: How do we ask teachers for letters of rec? A: Ask the teacher if they would be able to provide you with a positive recommendation. If the teacher says, "yes", provide them with a "Teacher Recommendation Form". If the teacher declines - politely thank them and ask another teacher
Q: How do we ask counselors for a letter of rec? A: Let your counselor know you need a letter. Complete the "Senior Worksheet" thoroughly and provide detailed answers.
Q: How do we know when the recommendations have been completed? A: About 5 days before your deadline, write the teacher a thank you email. It will 1) thank the teachers for taking the time to write a letter of support for you 2) serves as a gentle reminder for them to complete it if they haven't already done so
