5th Grade Students are trained to instruct, direct, and regulate the student body in how to safely cross streets, ride school buses, and walk in school hallways.

Students apply for this service group at the end of 4th grade, and, if accepted, are then a patroller during their entire 5th grade school year. This position requires a serious commitment and helps teach students responsibility.

Patrols are expected to serve daily before and after school from 7:40-7:55 a.m. and 2:40-3:05 p.m. all year long.

*If your Safety Patrol Leader, will not be in school to cover their post, please make sure that they have notified Ms. Kachel either by email, spoken to her directly, or have discussed it with their Safety Patrol Captain.
