Copyright-safe Video Resources

Where can i get copyright-safe pictures, video clips, music, etc.?

There are many places that you can get copyright-safe resources to use in your PSA (or any other project)

• WeVideo Essentials Library - The first tab (looks like a star) in WeVideo is the built-in Essentials library. This is the easiest copyright-safe source of media to use in your video projects because it is already built-in to WeVideo.
  • All of the video clips, images, and audio (music and sound effects) are copyright-safe because LCPS has paid a licensing fee that allows students and teachers to use "any Essentials media within the WeVideo editor, and then post your completed stories to any website without risk of them being pulled down due to copyright protection." In the credits for your video, you can give credit for any media you use from WeVideo Essentials library to "WeVideo Essentials library".
• Britannica ImageQuest - Britannica ImageQuest is available through LCPS Go in the "Library Resources" folder.
  • It contains millions of images that are copyright-safe because they have been cleared for any non-commercial, educational use. You can download pictures from ImageQuest directly to your Google Drive which makes them easy to import into your WeVideo projects. ImageQuest also provides easy citation information that you can use in your credits.
• StoryBlocks Audio - StoryBlocks Audio is available through LCPS Go in the "Library Resources" folder as "AudioBlocks".
  • StoryBlocks Audio contains copyright-safe background music and sound effects. The music and sound effects in StoryBlocks Audio are copyright-safe because LCPS has paid the license fee that allows students to use these sounds in their projects. Any audio files downloaded from StoryBlocks Audio will need to be uploaded to Google Drive in order to import them into your WeVideo project. In the credits for your video, you can give credit for any audio files you use from StoryBlocks Audio to "StoryBlocks Audio".
• StoryBlocks Video - StoryBlocks Video is available through LCPS Go in the "Library Resources" folder as "VideoBlocks".
  • StoryBlocks Video contains copyright-safe stock video clips. The videos in StoryBlocks Video are copyright-safe because LCPS has paid the license fee that allows students to use these sounds in their projects. In the credits for your video, you can give credit for any video or effects you use from StoryBlocks Video to "StoryBlocks Video".

Credits

WeVideo makes it easy to create rolling credits at the end of your video. This is a great place to let viewers know where you got your information as well as the sources of your images, video, music, narration, etc. Don't forget to give yourselves credit for any original art, photography, music, narration, etc.!
