Hi! I’m Lindsey Henshaw, and I’m so excited for another wonderful school year in 3rd grade!
I was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, where I graduated high school in 2007. I went on to attend James Madison University, where I competed as a student-athlete on the varsity swim team and earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Elementary Education (Go Dukes!).
I began my teaching career in 2012 teaching 2nd grade at Thomas Jefferson Elementary, and I’ve spent the last 14 years happily teaching 3rd grade. Louisa County is such a special place to live and work, and I am so proud to be part of this community.
Outside the classroom, my husband and I love living here in Louisa with our two kids—our son, Blake (5th grade), and our daughter, Sophie (2nd grade). I can’t wait to partner with you and your family for a fantastic year ahead!

Welcome to third-grade Patriots! I am Mrs. Gramling. After graduating high school, I attended PVCC and graduated with my associate's degree in early childhood education. I graduated from Regent University with my undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2015. This will be my 10th year teaching. I like to spend a lot of time with my family and friends. My daughter, Delta, is 4 years old. Any chance we get, we are at the beach or going on some kind of adventure together. I can't wait to get this year started and get to know you!

My name is Nikki Dye and I am from New Orleans, Louisiana. I moved everywhere with my military family and have landed in Virginia. I have a husband named Travis and three 4th graders at TJ. We are so happy to be a part of the LCPS family.
I graduated from Carson Newman University with my Bachelors on Elementary Education and my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Teaching English as a Second Language. This is my 11th year teaching and my fifth at TJ.
My favorite things to do are backpack, swim in the lake, watch movies with my family, and bake! I am so excited to be a part of the third grade team this year! Get ready for the best year EVER!
My name is Katherine Ballard. This is my 11th year teaching and my 4th year here at TJ. I taught second and third grade in Floyd, VA for 8 years before moving to Louisa.
I grew up in Stafford, VA, before moving to Christiansburg with my husband in 2014. I graduated from George Mason University with a BA in History and received my master's degree in Education and teaching certification from the University of Mary Washington.
My husband, Mike, and two kids moved to Louisa in 2022. My oldest son, Nick, is in 3rd grade, and my youngest, Noah, is in 1st grade.

My name is Amy Cooper and this is my 8th year at Thomas Jefferson and my 12th year teaching. I was born and raised in New Jersey and moved to Virginia in 2015. I received my Bachelors degree from College of Saint Elizabeth. I attended Grand Canyon University to receive my Masters degree.
In my spare time I love to spend time with family, friends, and my animals. I enjoy coaching volleyball and attending LCPS sporting events.
I am looking forward to a great year!
