Hello!

I am so excited to serve your student(s) this year in the school counseling department alongside Ms. Sam! This is going to be a great school year and I cannot wait to get to know your patriot!

A little about me- I am originally from Orange County, VA but my husband and I spent the last 15 years in Rockingham County where I completed my undergraduate and graduate degree at JMU. Gooooo Duuukkkkeeess! After receiving my masters in school counseling, I worked as a school counselor in the Rockingham County Public School District for 9 years. During that time, my husband and I also welcomed two sweet little girls into our lives and are so grateful everyday for our funny, sweet, beautiful, and spunky little ladies. Last summer, my husband and I made the decided to move to Louisa (where he is originally from) to be closer to both my family and his. Every single day I feel so thankful we made this decision! Being near family has been simply wonderful, we have already made so many memories, and LCPS is one of a kind! I am so honored to get to work for LCPS and I am thrilled that my girls will attend this school system. 

I am proud to be here and proud to serve both you and your student. I strongly believe in meeting a child where they are at developmentally when it comes to emotional awareness and self regulation by using a combination of both talk and play. I also have a passion for nature and its ability to positively impact mental health.
