A color run is a fun, non-competitive run or walk where participants are showered with vibrant colored powder at different points along the course. Designed for people of all ages and fitness levels, the event focuses on enjoying the experience rather than racing to the finish. Participants often begin wearing white shirts and end the run covered in bright colors, celebrating with music, photos, and a festive atmosphere!
Just yourself, clothing and shoes that can be permanently colored, and a great attitude! Everything else will be provided for you! (Water, Gatorade, snacks, etc.) Listening devices while running are not permitted.
The best way to prepare for a 5K is to train! Start slow and with short distances and work your way up to three miles. Get a good night's sleep the night before, eat a good breakfast, and STAY HYDRATED!!
A 5K takes anywhere from 20-45 minutes for someone who has trained. If you walk, that increases your time to 45-60+ minutes. However, this race is just for fun, so no matter your pace, we're sure you'll have a great time!
