My name is Michelle McLeod and I am a preschool teacher at Jouett Elementary School. I began teaching at Jouett Elementary School in 1999 and have had the privilege of teaching first grade, kindergarten, and preschool. I am a Louisa County resident and the mom of two amazing boys! JES's preschool is a wonderful place where children grow and learn. I love that I am in a place where I can help children do this!
Katie Sauer is in her third year as a preschool teacher at Moss-Nuckols Elementary School. She is originally from Charlottesville, but moved to Louisa County in 2021 after falling in love with the community. Since moving to Louisa County, Mrs. Sauer and her husband have been lucky enough to welcome two spunky and spirited daughters! She began her teaching career at M-NES in 2014 after earning her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a focus on Early Childhood Development at St. Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana. She has had the privilege of teaching Kindergarten, First Grade, and now Pre-K. Mrs. Sauer strives to build a strong classroom community and spark each child’s natural curiosity about the world through a variety of purposeful play opportunities.
Ms. Davis is a native of Louisa and attended Louisa County Public Schools from grades K through 12. She is the mother of seven and the grandmother of three wonderful grandchildren. She has a bachelor's degree from Virginia Union University and a Master's Degree from Walden University in Reading. She currently teaches preschool but has also taught kindergarten. She has always loved children and enjoys her job immensely.
Stephanie Zelaski has been teaching in Louisa for 23 years! She is originally from Pennsylvania, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Edinboro University. Mrs. Zelaski has taught at Trevilians Elementary for her entire career. She has taught kindergarten, first grade, and second grade. Mrs. Zelaski has been teaching preschool for the last seven years. She is a firm believer in learning through play!
