Louisa County Public Schools is proud to offer free preschool at all four of our elementary schools in order to provide kindergarten readiness skills to eligible children with the greatest needs. Children who will be four-years-old by September 30, 2026 and who live in the school's attendance zone may apply for preschool. Eligibility requirements can be found below.

LCPS Application Window: February 2nd - March 31st
Submit an Application beginning on February 2nd - March 31st
The Preschool Application Window Closes: March 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM
Preschool Screening and Application Day: March 31st at the Metal Gym from 9 AM - 7 PM
Notification of Acceptance or Placement on the Waitlist: July 2026
Preschool Confirmation or Declining Attendance: July 2026

Complete the electronic form above. Required documents (listed below) must be emailed to preschool@lcps.k12.va.us, or brought with you on March 31st during your scheduled appointment time. When your paperwork is complete, someone will call you to schedule an appointment. We will continue to accept applications after March 31st.
