Students take college entrance exams here at LCHS!
Juniors who plan to attend a 2 or 4-year college should take the SAT or ACT in the spring of their junior year. They can take the test again the summer or fall of their senior year. See me (Ms. Tembe) to discuss.
What's the difference between the tests?
SAT
ACT
Seniors should take the SAT/ACT as soon as possible, if they haven't already. See me (Ms. Tembe) to discuss.
Please register for the SAT online at www.collegeboard.org and/or the ACT online at www.act.org. Registration requires a credit or debit card. If a student qualifies for free or reduced-price lunch, then they may receive up to two fee waivers to take each test. Please see me (Ms. Tembe) in 161 if you qualify for Free or Reduced Lunch for a fee waiver.
The PSAT is offered once per year at LCHS. In 2018, the date is Wednesday, October 10. Students in 10th and 11th grade may sign up to take the test. This year, we are offering the PSAT to 9th graders on January 17, 2019.
