SAT and ACT

Students take college entrance exams here at LCHS!

Juniors who plan to attend a 2 or 4-year college should take the SAT or ACT in the spring of their junior year. They can take the test again the summer or fall of their senior year. See me (Ms. Tembe) to discuss.

What's the difference between the tests?

SAT

  • 4 sections: 2 Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, 2 Math, and optional essay.
  • The test is 3 hours (+50 minute optional essay)
  • You DON'T get penalized for guessing on the SAT.
